Unfortunately, yes it does. Please keep this in mind when traveling for the ceremony! Game Day traffic may make travel times longer, and the church has to start the ceremony at 2pm sharp. Approaching the church from the North and West are the best ways to avoid traffic.

The church has two parking lot entrances. The upper lot can be accessed from Ash Ave. The other entrance is in the garage off Lynn Ave. We will have signs posted at both locations.

We kindly ask that you "unplug" and refrain from taking any photos or videos during our ceremony. We want you to truly be in the moment with us during this time.

Please follow the driveway to the left of the house, past the pavilion, and into the designated parking lot. You are encouraged to drop off passengers on the round drive in front of the house.

The average high temperature in Ames on August 30th is 82 degrees. Note that this is Iowa, so you really never know what to expect. If high temps are in the forecast please feel free to dress more casually.

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a dinner buffet. There will be a bar with beer and wine, coolers with sodas, decanters with waters and tea.
